THE MODEL

The bridge structure connecting the square house, 3rd floor, to NIDA building. 

Islamic pattern style were applied across the surface, which were made by Gasshopper 3D.   

the main materials used here are stone for the main structure, and aluminum panels for the pattern structure.

The first one is the side panels, they move rolling up on the top of the square to allow sunlight and air to enter inside the bridge.

The inspiration images

The main theory of this experiment is to apply an Islamic patterns and use them in a way that suitable for the new computational design school, and the new architectural tools which are now available.
