week 3 exp2

36 custom textures that represent the entire range from dark to light. They are inspired by the first concept of the organic and new architectural forms that produced throw the tool of computational design.

3 textures were used in the model:

The theme of this project is the multicultural students and staff who study or work at UNSW. the Light Rial stop is going to be on Anzac Parade, in front of the main gate of the campus. The cars street will be throw an underground tunnel that will connect the street's both sides.

The design is considering the users movement throw all the day, by the bridge that connect the tow side together so it can be used any time. It's inspired by Aalto's designs which are dynamic, geometric and depending on functionalism.

week 2, exp2

The concepts that chosen to create this design are:

.      1. Organic forms and curves:  Mad Architects projects are depending on computational design as a main tool, which gives them the ability   to create new forms such as the Harbin Opera House.

This concept were the inspiration for designing the Light-rail stop itself.

       2. Functionalism is one of Aalto’s main concepts that means he understood the movement of users in his buildings.

This concept were used to design the surrounding area that users move and walk on.

The six axonometrics that were drawn last time, are combining, every tow are together:

week 1 - exp 2

Light Rail is coming to UNSW. There will be two stops at the Kensington campus; the Lower Campus stop on Anzac Parade will be located adjacent to the main pedestrian entrance at ‘University Mall’. Choose an architectural concept that was created, developed or challenged by each of the two Architects chosen by your tutor. Use one of these concepts to create a light rail stop that addresses one of the following three themes 1) technology, 2) sustainability, 3) the multicultural students and staff who study or work at UNSWUse the second concept to help situate the light rail stop within its urban context.

The concepst of this design is inspired by  and MAD Architects.

Concepts:
1.       Organic forms and curves:  Mad Architects projects are depending on computational design as a main tool, which gives them the ability   to create new forms such as the Harbin Opera House.
2.       Reflecting the surrounding area’s landscape on the architectural buildings
3.       Mad Architects uses aluminium as a main material to produce the smooth surfaces of their buildings.
4.       Aalto’s building described as “work of art” that means he focused on the details to create unusual forms.

5.       Functionalism is one of Aalto’s main concepts that means he understood the movement of users in his buildings.
